The classical workers movement must be reexamined without any illusions, particularly without any illusions regarding its various political and pseudotheoretical heirs, because all they have inherited is its failure. The apparent successes of this movement are actually its fundamental failures (reformism or the establishment of a state bureaucracy), while its failures (the Paris Commune or the 1934 Asturian revolt) are its most promising successes so far, for us and for the future.
lyrics
Citizens, we’re living on borrowed time
Empires just don’t last forever
‘cause pictures of dead presidents are just pictures of dead presidents and nothing more
Ashes, ashes, we all fall down
Irony’s become a cliché
Honesty’s a pathetic joke
As silently the skies dissolve our faces, silently the skies dissolve our hearts
Oh it’s been fun
And for better or for worse this is the end of
The world those sick fucks sold to us
Ashes, ashes, we all fall down
