As long as necessity is socially dreamed, dreaming will remain a social necessity. The spectacle is the bad dream of a modern society in chains and ultimately expresses nothing more than its wish for sleep. The spectacle is the guardian of that sleep.
lyrics
Vomit stains the grass
I feel like we’ve both been here before before
And it’s not me, moving these lips at all
It was fun, but this love is gone
It was fun but this love is dead
It’s been fun but this story’s over
An angel’s got a remote control
We know how this drama’s going to end
And these aren’t my hands, this isn’t my voice
No we’re not beautiful people
It was fun, but this love is gone
It was fun, but this love is dead
It’s been fun, but our story is over
Concrete monsters, our liberty’s a shriveled ghost
And these aren’t my words
This isn’t my song
You can’t stop, what’s already happened
It was fun, but this love is gone
It was fun, but this love is dead
It’s been fun, but our time is up
